Timberwolves Rally Late, Stun Rockets in OT Thriller Behind Randle Heroics
The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off a stunning comeback to defeat the Houston Rockets, 110–108, in an overtime thriller highlighted by a clutch performance from Julius Randle. Randle knocked down the go-ahead jumper with under 10 seconds left, capping a massive 15-0 run to close the game.
Minnesota erased a 13-point deficit in overtime—one of the biggest comebacks in that situation—after Houston had taken control with a dominant scoring surge late in regulation and early in OT.
Randle finished with 24 points, all coming in the second half, while Jaden McDaniels added 25 points before exiting with an injury. Despite missing several key players late, the Timberwolves showed resilience to secure the win.
On the other side, Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun led the Rockets with 30 points each, helping Houston nearly steal the game. However, missed free throws in the final seconds prevented them from getting a last shot attempt.
With the victory, the Timberwolves strengthen their position in the Western Conference playoff race, while the Rockets fall just short in a heartbreaking loss.
