Luka Doncic Drops 41 as Lakers Dominate Nets, Extend Hot Streak
The Los Angeles Lakers continued their strong run with a convincing 116–99 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, powered by a dominant performance from Luka Doncic. Doncic exploded for 41 points and eight rebounds, marking another elite outing despite picking up his 16th technical foul, which could lead to a suspension.
The game remained competitive early, with the young Nets even taking a fourth-quarter lead after erasing a double-digit deficit. However, the Lakers took control late behind Austin Reaves, who scored 15 of his 26 points in the final period to seal the win.
LeBron James contributed 14 points and eight assists, while also making history by connecting with his son, Bronny James, for the first father-son assist in NBA history.
On the other side, the struggling Nets—now on a 10-game losing streak—were led by Josh Minott’s 18 points, with Nic Claxton and Ziaire Williams adding 16 each. Despite their effort, Brooklyn faded late as the Lakers extended their hot streak, winning 11 of their last 12 games.
